Wug2‑80A is a compact, high‑torque flat‑burr grinder built for home prosumers who want a DRM burr setup in a small footprint. It supports 75 mm, 78 mm, and 80 mm flat burrs (screw and blind types), plus DRM burrs, all using the same proven burr‑swap system as our 83A for fast and precise burr changes.

At the heart of this grinder is the DRM burr option, which delivers an intense, high‑clarity cup profile that many prosumers look for. DRM burrs are known for a more pronounced grinding sound, similar to other DRM‑equipped grinders, but this comes with very high grinding aggression and speed. When you prefer a quieter session or a different profile, you can simply swap to other 80 mm or 78 mm burrs on the same platform.

Production lead time is similar to the 83A, at around 60 days. Lead time may vary depending on DRM burr availability; we currently have a limited number of DRM sets, and we will do our best to ship within the promised timeframe.

By default, the Wug2‑80A ships without a bean feeder to keep the setup clean and compact on the kitchen counter. Beans can be dosed easily using the included accessory for single‑dosing. If you prefer a more traditional workflow, you can add the bean feeder shown in the photos for an additional US$100.

In our internal tests, 80 mm burrs offer noticeably higher grinding efficiency than 78 mm burrs. With SSP 78 mm MP compared against 80 mm ULF and LS in the 80A platform, the 78 mm setup took around 50 seconds to grind 18 g for espresso, with shorter times for coarser brew settings. This makes the 75mm, 80mm and DRM options particularly attractive for prosumers who value both cup quality and reasonable workflow speed.

The adjustment collar is now detachable, allowing you to reset the zero point whenever you change burrs or want to recalibrate—perfect for enthusiasts who like to experiment with different burr sets and recipes.
